Punyavathi revolves around the story of Padmini and Poorvi, two sisters from Mandya district. Padmini loves dance but her father, Bhujanga is against dance and singing. Still Padmini makes it to the finale of dance reality show on the day of her wedding muhurtha. Ultimately Poorvi takes Padmini’s place and marries Nandan without anyone realising it.
